Farbod Khaki, MD, graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, Portland, Oregon in 2013 and completed his General Surgery Residency at Oregon Health & Science University from 2013-2018.
Dr. Khaki had aspirations to become a doctor as early as second-grade. His desire to become a doctor was solidified after spending time as a clinical volunteer in the operating room while in college.
He was inspired to specialize in general surgery because it allows for him to provide care for patients of all ages and a wide variety of surgical conditions. Dr. Khaki is especially interested in acute care surgery, treatment of breast disease including cancer, minimally invasive and open small and large bowel surgery including colon cancer and diverticulitis, surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal and paraesophageal hernia, minimally invasive and open repair of abdominal wall and inguinal hernias, surgical treatment of skin cancer and soft tissue disorders, gallbladder surgery, thyroid surgery, and endoscopy.
Dr. Khaki is committed to delivering the highest quality surgical care to his patients. His goal is to work with patients, their families, and primary care providers to develop the best individual treatment plan through a patient-centered approach to surgery. Two attributes that patients find appealing about Dr. Khaki are his compassion and willingness to spend time listening to patients and their families to truly understand their concerns.
In his free time, Dr. Khaki enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and skiing. He looks forward to exploring the beautiful White Mountains with his wife and two young children.
Dr. Khaki is located at Summit Healthcare General and Vascular Surgery.
